Lena and her son, Aris, are searching for Giannis. Giannis is a so-called bird psychologist who disappeared with the body of Aris’ father from the morgue. Through this sometimes comical search, Lena and Aris try to grieve, or avoid mourning, for a father and a husband.

Black Money for White Nights

The couple have spent years collecting small bribes to afford their dream trip to St. Petersburg to witness the White Nights. When Russia invades Ukraine, however, and the travel agency vanishes with their savings, their dream collapses — along with any illusions they clung to that they were in control of their lives.

Lake

Lake Prespa, shared with North Macedonia, Greece and Albania has long suffered from ethnic disputes, land abandonment, pollution and increasingly, climate change. Following the death of hundreds of Dalmatian pelicans, a team of Greek biologists set out on an expedition to the neighboring countries. They meet with locals who provide their view on the living conditions around the lake. The borders are about to open as a result of the Prespes ageement. Will they be able to preserve this ecosystem for future generations? Lake is an ode to coexistence.

Paradise Lost

A mix reality documentary becomes a voyage through time and space. Based on a letter found in the family archive, the director traces the last minutes of her great-great grandfather’s life as a political prisoner, on the day of the Great Fire in Izmir, Turkey, in 1922. He was violently murdered while his wife was forced to abandon everything and flee with her children across the Aegean Sea to Greece.

The Lost Son

Andrej, a seasoned criminal investigator, faces a shocking revelation when he encounters his estranged brother, Kristian, as a domestic violence perpetrator. A tragic turn of events pushes Andrej to confront his past trauma, ultimately culminating in a heartbreaking confrontation with their father. As he seeks redemption and reconciliation, Andrej’s life takes a devastating turn when Kristian commits a horrific act, forcing him to confront the depths of familial turmoil and personal responsibility.
